SIFF Celebrates Mr. Hansen for 24 Years of teaching media arts.

On Wednesday March 25 during their opening night, SIFF (the Sonoma International Film Festival) celebrated Peter Hansen for his hard work and dedication to teaching media arts for over 24 years. He was given the Best Media Arts Teacher Award by Film Festival director emeritus Kevin McNeely, Education Foundation Sarah Carrol, and a special gift from Siff co-director Ginny Krieger.

Hansen received a standing ovation from the crowd at the Sebastiani Theatre acknowledging his impact on students, the film festival, and community.

Former students and collaborators shared tributes onstage and through a video (above) presented on the big silver screen.

A big thank you to The Sonoma International Film Festival and The Sonoma Education Foundation for supporting our media arts program over the decades.
