Local Community Leaders Toured The Campus and Broadcast Facility. 6th District Assembly Member, Jared Huffman is
Scheduled Friday 10-12 To Tour SVHS Observing Advances In Education Technology Such As Utilized In The Broadcast Studios at SVHS.

EQUIPMENT: Many Thanks To "The Nelson Family Of Companies" For a Generous Donation Allowing the Purchase Of A Professional Studio Teleprompter. Broadcast Students Are One Step Closer To Real World News Casting.

LIVE BROADCAST: HEALDSBURG VS. DRAGONS. SVHS Broadcast Class Students Ran Cameras For a First Ever, Live Broadcast Football Game, for Sonoma's SVTV 27 on Cable. Throughout The Game, Using Wireless Headsets, Students Took Direction From An Industry Professional inside A Remote Editing Booth, On Covering Action At The Field.
Samantha Becerril Interviewed Coaches On The Field.

FILM: Go BOOSTERS! Once Again Sonoma Valley Boosters Comes Through At SVHS Helping To Retrofit The Glassed in "Art Lounge" In The Covered Courtyard, Making It A Showcase For Student Works From The Visual and Performing Arts. It Will Be Open To All Students And Community, And Will Be Host To Art Shows, Film Nights, "Mini" Music and Drama Shows. Completion Date Expected By January 5th.

Three Video Classes Are In Full Operation With A Total of 100 Students Participating.

Five Interns Have Been Selected and Are Engaged In Related Broadcast and Film Activities At SVTV 27 Here in Sonoma.

Due To The Generosity of Sonoma Valley Boosters, The Sonoma Valley Film Society, and Common Bond Foundation,
The Program is Now Fully Equipped With State Of The Art Technology, Cameras, and Broadcast Equipment. Mr. Hansen, The Teacher and Program Director Has Been Hired Full Time To Teach and Implement New Programs. Stay Tuned As This Exciting Program Develops.
